Our 10 - week summer internships are designed to provide hands-on, project-based experience in various areas of our business.What you will do:The Internship program is intended to provide an immersive exposure to Information Technology's responsibilities to ensure excellent cybersecurity. In this role you will participate in not only technology initiatives, but also development of corporate policies, process, and cyber education. Specifically, isolation of legacy systems, refined use of cyber monitoring technologies, as well as researching and suggesting updates to cyber and incident response policies and protocols. You will be given the opportunity to lead a cyber awareness education/testing session for employees as well.The Internship Program will also provide a basic understanding and exposure to cyber insurance and customer/vendor contractual requirements related to data protection and business continuity.Excellent cybersecurity ensures the right and ability to provide life-saving products and services here at Versiti. This Cyber Security internship with Versiti, will help you learn, and us in achieving our goals.Job Duties:As a member of the Information Services Cyber Security Team you will:Evaluate end of life system managementResearch, evaluate and propose improvements to security monitoring/security operations center (SOC).Participate in external corporate cyber audit/benchmarking activitiesParticipate in policy and process discussions and help coordinate updatesLead/coordinate and measure results of at least one cyber education and/or employee cyber test using our KnowBe4 platformMaintain the customer service standards of the department and Versiti, as requiredCommunicate clearly and respectfully with customers, donors and colleagues, sharing all necessary information.Work effectively with team members, contributing to team efforts.Support Versiti's mission, vision, and values as well as department goals and objectives.Qualifications:What you will need:EducationMust be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program in a related field of the internship.ExperienceCompleted a minimum of 2 years in college/university in a related field of study for the internship preferredBasic Microsoft Office skillsSkills and KnowledgeEffective communication skillsAbility to be customer-focused and follow through on requests promptlyStrong organizational skillsAbility to quickly and accurately understand instructions and then work independently on assignmentsAbility to handle confidential information appropriatelyDemonstrates keen attention to detailWhen you will work?This is a full-time, 40 hour per week internship, working Monday-Friday.
