Who are we looking for?A highly motivated, driven, self-starting CNC Operator/Programmer who can work well in a team-oriented atmosphere. The ideal candidate should have at least one to two years of experience operating and programming CNC milling machines, have great organizational skills, and be able to operate several types of hand, power and pneumatic tools. Forklift experience is not required but a big plus! Shift is from 4:30am - 3:00pm Mon - Thurs at the Hartford, WI location.
What you will be doing:The CNC Operator-Programmer is responsible for supplying manufacturing with the necessary machined parts for assembly. Ensure that parts are cut and machined to blueprint and configuration specifications. Accuracy and updates of the machines within the department. Programming new designed parts and also any updates to current parts. Use data that is delivered to the department and directions from management to ensure quality objectives of manufacturing are fulfilled.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Cut and machine parts to specifications and the proper order according to scheduling.
  • Supply Manufacturing with necessary amount to ensure ship dates are met.
  • Take direction from management given any changes to schedule.
  • Inspect finished parts on a regular basis to ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Rework or remake any parts that are not to specification.
  • Work closely with management to resolve any product quality issues occurring during production
  • Review weekly work schedule to ensure on time delivery and identify any potential production delays.
  • Maintain reliable and safe work practices while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, and costs.REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprint.
    • Knowledgeable in fabrication.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and/or other employees of the organization.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
      • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
        • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
        • Squatting, kneeling and standing frequently.
        • This position is exposed to dust/dirt frequently and fumes, vapors and mists occasionally.
        • This position is in a manufacturing environment where the noise level is high.
