-Software Development Lead - Steele Solutions Inc. -*This is an
in-person, non-remote position, located in the Milwaukee metro
area. -Summary -Under the direction of the Director of IT, the
Software Development Lead provides mentoring and leadership to a
team of developers. The Lead is responsible for the development,
maintenance and implementation of programs and software to assist
the company in increasing efficiency, accuracy and profitability.
--- -The position requires an understanding of engineering
processes, familiarity with engineering information and familiarity
with data sources. This position works with
engineering/manufacturing related data such as bill of materials,
drawings, design data and design standards. -Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
Leadership -Provides leadership and
mentoring to the Development team across all sites. Develops and
administers policies, procedures and processes as neededStrategic
planning -Works -closely with the IT Director to accomplish
Software Development objectives and organizational strategic plans.
Provides input an overall direction to adjust resources and
maximize profitability while maintaining exceptional quality of
serviceCommunication -Effectively communicates expectations and
responsibilities to team members. Actively listens and addresses
issues and concerns promptly. Establishes a shared vision with
employeesSoftware Development -Provides problem solving and root
cause analysis. Recognizes malfunction symptoms and fix systematic
problems within the originating code -Independently completes
project activity as delegated by the project leader. Projects can
be either product/process-improvement related or production design
process improvement related. Contributes ideas for further
improvementsMaintains and implements change in support of Steele
Solutions structural design tools (specifically Tekla) and in house
.NET applications developmentMaintains enterprise-wide Materials
Requirement Planning (MRP) software that is .NET and SQL Server
basedPerforms conceptual project/app design and project estimation
utilizing input from the stakeholders -Maintains all communication
with business stakeholders along with final presentations -Writes,
updates and maintains the reports within the Reporting Server in an
SSRS environment -Implements and maintains an internal website for
employee communications and informationQualifications. Education
and Experience
Computer Science/programming degree
or comparable experience is required. -4+ years of applicable
experience in software development and implementation.Previous team
leadership or managementPrevious experience leading technical
projectsDevelopment and Support in a manufacturing/production
environment is preferred. -3D modeling experience is preferred. - -
-Technical Skills -
Proficient withC#VB.NetSQL Server
2016SSRS reporting softwareWinForms and/or WPF experience
preferred.Net Framework required.Net, .Net Core, and .Net Standard
