best serve our clients! As a Senior Software Engineer on our team
you will be involved in all stages of the software development
lifecycle within the New Issue Insurance Administration engineering
team. Primary Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain
critical applications required to process new/modified insurance
applications taking them through data validation and set-up,
underwriting approval, insurance contract generation and setting
them up for servicing. You will be an expert in building front end
and back-end application components and APIs to support development
and improvement of cloud-based solutions. Experienced in agile
software development cycle from Jira epic refinement, estimation,
Jira task creation, design, feature delivery and implementation.
Build and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
pipelines to increase speed of implementing a new feature and the
ability to compete in the marketplace. Assesses and provides
solutions to system-wide architectural problems. Document solution
options and specifications in Confluence, build and complete user
stories via Jira, and collaborate with team members and
stakeholders via Slack Researches and embraces new technology
solutions and ways to build technical capabilities. Participates in
pager rotation to provide support for Production Environment
Minimum Requirements : Bachelor--------s degree in information
technology, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 6 years of
experience as a software developer or related occupation. 6 years
of experience must include 2 years with each of the following:
Cloud technologies and CICD pipelines Experience in NodeJS, React
API development Experience on relational databases such as SQL
Server, Oracle or MySQL Visual Basic .Net/ C# or Java/Springboot
Performing peer reviews on code and design Technical Leadership
experience or aptitude Preferred Qualifications: Skilled working in
full software development life cycle from feature refinement to
implementation and support Technical Expert in object-oriented
design methodology and advanced programming skills in one or more
high-level programming languages (e.g., Node JS, React, C++,C#,
Java, etc.) Hands-on development of highly distributed, cloud-based
micro-service environments Passion for coaching and mentoring less
experienced team members Strong test engineering skills, Automation
tools such as Kevlar Highly motivated, self-learner, and
technically inquisitive Proven critical thinking, ownership
approach, and continuous learning. Adaptability and flexibility
plus ability to work with incomplete information. Data
Encryption/Decryption tools and defect tracking tools including

Compensation Range: Pay Range - Start: $97,930.00 Pay Range - End:
$181,870.00 Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific
salary structure and placement in the salary range for this
position will be determined by a number of factors including the
skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the
candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in
the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern

the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are
