Job Description: Software Solution ArchitectThis is a hybrid position with 10 days/month onsite in Madison, WI.Beacon Technologies is seeking a Software Solution Architect for our client partner. This role involves collaborating with division teams to develop and maintain applications that meet business needs. The architect will be responsible for designing and developing complex and large-scale business solutions, providing technical guidance and leadership for specific applications.Primary Accountabilities:

• Hands-on coding experience as a Software Solution Architect.
• Providing expertise during project initiation, including resource estimation, skill requirements, time estimates, tool and technology identification, and participating in proof of concepts.
• Analyzing high-level system specifications, business requirements, and use cases.
• Converting information into detailed specifications and system design plans for development teams.
• Understanding and identifying system dependencies.
• Validating complex design decisions through consultation; offering advanced coding expertise to mitigate high-risk features or technical challenges.
• Documenting design decisions, assumptions, code modules, and performance metrics as per organizational standards.
• Leading and participating in testing phases, including unit and system integration testing, and conducting development walkthroughs.
• Collaborating on system flow, data usage, and process effectiveness to verify requirements.Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

• Experience delivering customer-driven solutions and support.
• Leadership experience with hands-on development in Java and AWS (GCP or Azure).
• Ability to analyze and understand complex systems and software.
• Effective communication of technical information.
• Development of diverse solution approaches and designs for customers.
• Proficiency in programming languages for complex software/system development.
• Experience estimating project size and effort.
• Providing technical guidance and leadership to less experienced staff.
• Knowledge of software development standards, methodologies, infrastructure technologies, and SDLC.
• Understanding of application architecture, design alternatives, and integration strategies.Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.
  • 5+ years in the Payments domain, with knowledge of payment processing, wallet management, and third-party integrations.
  • Expertise in application performance measurement and tuning.
  • Familiarity with SDLC practices, including coding standards, reviews, source control, CI/CD, and testing.
  • Experience with telemetry/logging for Payments applications.
  • Leadership in cloud-native design and implementation, primarily in AWS.
  • Building enterprise architecture and setting coding standards.
  • Strong Java and Spring Framework skills.
