to ensure agility – the Data Steward plays a key role in this
process! The Data Steward empowers the business to understand and
use data sources optimally through being the expert in the data.
The Data Steward understands the “why” behind the data – who is
using the data, why are they using it, and how might they benefit
from using it? Through close collaboration, the Data Steward is
uniquely positioned to drive business success through development
of a business glossary, use case and adoption tracking, creation of
data quality rules, training, and participation in governance
activities. This role will support users of the data itself, the
products that use the data, as well as strategic application of the
data. This role will interact with anyone who uses the data sources
directly (e.g. Sales, Category Management, Insights & Analytics,
Supply Chain, Marketing, Brand Teams, Leadership, etc.), the
Product teams whose tools and reports leverage the data, and anyone
involved in current governance and prioritization processes (e.g.
IT, Strategy, and Procurement). The Data Steward will be asked to
provide input around the data itself – how to use or not use it,
how much it is being used, what it is being used for, if the usage
is valuable, etc. In this role, you will: Be a subject matter
expert for their designated data sources, including what the data
means, who uses it, how much it is used, and for which use cases
Collaborate with key data users to develop business logic for the
IT team to implement in their systems for automated ongoing
monitoring to proactively catch data quality issues before they
impact downstream processes Advise and develops materials to inform
stakeholders of self-service data availability Understand and
advise how to pull data from the relevant databases and data
platforms Provide written and verbal guidance to the Analytics
Product Manager and to Data Scientists to support their use of data
Own and maintain field-level explanations for data sources,
including how each data field can be used to address business
questions Partner with the Product Manager, Capabilities Team, and
others to drive adoption of data sources across relevant business
areas Understand the scope of contracted data & services including
authorized usage; supports renewal & RFP discussions Communicate
data updates & changes from data vendors out to organization About

the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following
qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant
experience in data management, data governance, business
intelligence, or analytics Prior experience using retailer POS
data, inventory data, and Panel data (e.g. Nielsen, IRI, Numerator,
Luminate, 1010, etc.) Strong cross-functional communication skills,
and demonstrated success partnering with both business and
technical partners Passion for data and how it can be used in new
and exciting ways to help the business Expertise creating clear,
structured documentation for data sources, business logic, and data
quality processes to support stakeholders Desire and ability to
troubleshoot and drive problem solving Ability to project manage
and drive toward deadlines Detail-oriented and process-driven
Preferred: Prior experience working for a global, highly matrixed,
Consumer Packaged Goods company Experience working with data
platforms and databases, including database querying, and
familiarity with API integrations and ETL processes Experience
creating automated data quality management rules Familiarity with
uncovering and championing high-value use cases for data
Understanding of database structure (systems and data) Experience

discretion. Grade 9/P3 LI-Hybrid Salary Range: 116,380 – 143,740
USD. At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards

this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a
comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit
Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is
provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend
on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance,
and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US
locations only.
