Job Description:

We are seeking a Recruiter in all our offices. This position will develop and implement legal recruiting strategies with an emphasis on hiring of lateral attorneys, legal personnel, and professional staff. - -This role will be an integral part of Quarles & Brady's ongoing growth strategy through the development and execution of leading recruitment processes. --- Responsibilities

  • Partner with Practice Group Leaders, Office Managing Partners, and Practice Group Managers to understand the short and long-term hiring needs.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies and talent acquisitions best practices in support of lateral growth.
  • Lead recruiting efforts for each open position in assigned practice groups and departments end-to-end, including but not limited to:
  • Opening requisitions for each approved position.
  • Placing the position announcement with publications, on websites, and with legal search firms, as appropriate.
  • Conducting searches using traditional and creative sourcing methods, including but not limited to: online searches using LinkedIn Recruiter, Leopard, job postings, internal database searches, law schools, referrals and third party search firms.
  • Cold calling potential candidates.
  • Screening all candidates for appropriate fit.
  • Tracking all submissions in viRecruit.
  • Coordinating interview schedules and collecting and reviewing all evaluations.
  • Preparing offer letters.
  • Coordinating pre-hire and onboarding tasks.
  • Advising hiring partners and managers on key decisions throughout the hiring process, including resume review, interview process and overall process improvement.
  • Assist in the implementation of technologies to track applicant information and critical statistics for existing employees such as turnover rate, reason for termination, demographic information, etc. Maintain systems accordingly.
  • Stay informed of legal recruiting trends and make recommendations where appropriate.
  • Have thorough understanding of employment laws and provide necessary training on the selection process and interview techniques for Quarles & Brady employees interviewing candidates.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time. ---Job Requirements: Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in recruiting. Experience in professional services, executive search or legal industry is a plus.
  • Ability to understand changing practice/market dynamics and subsequently be creative in finding candidates to fit those parameters.
  • Proactively engage in practice discussions to identify opportunities for improvement across all areas of talent acquisition.
  • A superior sense of urgency with the demonstrated ability to deliver results.
  • Strong customer service attitude.
  • Ability to succeed in fast past environment and adapt to change quickly.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects in sometimes high-pressure situations simultaneously.
  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Sensitivity to diversity goals and an ability to negotiate difficult conversations regarding the same.
  • Excellent sensitivity, confidentiality, and judgment related to human resource issues.
  • Team player who can take a project forward with limited direction.
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel skills required.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, Leopard, viRecruit and viIntegrate a plus. --- Effective August 31, 2021, Quarles & Brady adopted a policy requiring all personnel to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. Fully vaccinated means receiving the full course of doses for a given vaccine (two doses for Pfizer and Moderna; single dose for Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine). The Firm will consider vaccination exceptions for individuals who cannot be vaccinated due to medical conditions or religious beliefs. Depending on the state you live in, a vaccination exception may be available to you on additional grounds. - Due to this policy, you must be fully vaccinated or have received an approved exemption before your first day of employment with Quarles & Brady.
