    • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a high volume of construction contracts, drawing upon extensive knowledge of all AIA contract forms, typical client positions, and their impact on Shawmut and its business goals and practices.
    • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize confidentiality agreements, settlement agreements, leases, and other agreements.
    • Assist with legal issues related to subcontracts.
    • Provide advice on various legal and procedural issues including scope, schedule, notices, changes, non-performance, insurance, and labor issues.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships and communication with Shawmut staff.
    • Act as a liaison for and foster positive relationships with clients and clients' attorneys.
    • Manage lien issues as necessary to protect the company's interests, with familiarity with lien statutes and practices in various jurisdictions.
    • Develop training materials and provide company-wide training on contracts, processes, and legal topics.Qualifications
      • Experience: 2-5 years of Construction Industry Law experience.
      • Education: JD, member of any state bar.
      • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of construction principles, practices, procedures, means, and methods.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
      • Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, resourcefulness, efficiency, and attention to detail.
      • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
      • Ability to learn new software and applications quickly.
      • Ability to understand organization structure and stakeholders rapidly.
