Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution, is seeking a dependable CDL A Delivery Driver for day shifts. In this role, you will ensure safe and timely delivery of food and food-related products to our diverse clientele across the United States. With a focus on safety and customer satisfaction, the right candidate will play a critical role in continuing our mission to deliver quality and excellence in all we do. Drive trucks to transport food items to customer locations on assigned routes in compliance with safety procedures. Load and unload cargo while ensuring the integrity and safety of the merchandise. Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure the truck is in good operating condition. Adhere to all safety requirements and road regulations. Maintain logs of driving times, delivery amounts, and mileage as per federal and state regulations. Provide exceptional customer service during delivery, addressing customers' queries and concerns. Proficiency in navigating various routes along with a strong understanding of DOT regulations. Effective communication and the ability to work independently. Skill in managing time effectively and meeting tight deadlines. Physical stamina to lift heavy loads.
