What you will do:

Under general direction, develops, plans and executes marketing and growth program strategies and activities for the Building Solutions North American HVAC Controls business in the controls, technology and optimization market segments. Participates in developing marketing plans and strategies that support and complement other markets including equipment and technology offerings. Drives concept development and approval, develops and leads program components and takes ownership over meeting financial targets. Participates with sales leadership in meetings to drive results. May be involved in global projects crossing Business Units

How you will do it:

Supports NA leadership, areas and local markets in the development of strategic marketing and programs to facilitate HVAC controls sales growth and margin expansion.

Works in collaboration with other Marketing teams and directors across the business to lead and develop programs that drive and support our complementary growth objectives.

Responsible for supporting BSNA leadership team with analytics and direction on ways to optimize our channels and offerings to grow Controls sales and market share.

In conjunction with Product Management, develops and maintains a Competitive Intelligence portal that extracts real-time data from the field and our product managers.

Leading a strategic planning team which serves as an "internal consultant" to continually maintain, refine, and develop Controls offering strategies considering market opportunity, customer segmentation, value chain analysis, and competitive intelligence.

Representing the sales needs of BSNA within the product development organization by leading market research, participating in product planning events, frequent engagement with product development leadership and engaging BSNA sales organization to understand needs.

Developing alliance partnerships which fit within BSNA strategies, and maintain relationships with alliance partners.

Collects, consolidates, and prioritizes field feedback and incorporate into strategies and marketing programs.

Collects and provide analysis of market intelligence, independent market research, and extracts real-time data from the field. Develops controls pricing strategies that enable our branches to increase hit rates and expand margin.

Drives agreement and creates cohesion for plan including Sales, Ops, and HR aspects. Leads implementation of vital plan programs. Proposes and leads change efforts based on intelligence findings. Taps into multiple resources to corroborate findings.

Translates strategic and program goals to specific financial impacts. Creates organizational financial models and gains buy-in on financial targets.

Rationalizes and proposes pricing changes across a series of offerings to better balance with rate and margins.

Creates business cases. Prioritizes among different investment options. Coaches and/or critiques others on business case creation.

Oversee creation of entire deployment package for a program (brochure, presentation, deployment guide, etc.) Creates training scenarios/videos to aid in program effectiveness. Drives deployment to regions with the region's assistance. Leads tracking and effectiveness measurement. Ensures global consistency and support for programs.

Proposes and leads organizational change efforts with inclusion of service, solutions and Systems offerings in all marketing programs.

Requires expert knowledge in several professional or industry fields and the ability to integrate critical information from many diverse areas. Requires extensive channel, product and industry knowledge.

Leads projects of high complexity

Participates in sales efforts, has direct customer contact. Speaks at association events, leads association committees, projects, etc.

Coordinates with engineering, sales, and operations teams to ensure controls strategies are implemented to achieve revenue goals.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

What we look for:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, a related field or equivalent experience in Controls field, MBA preferred.

Eight to ten years' experience in construction marketing and/or sales, including three to five years of sales or marketing management experience and/or direct sales experience.

Requires general knowledge of Controls segment and the ability to integrate information from many diverse areas.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

Analytical skills and ability to effectively organize marketing data.
