Job Description:

Company is currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our growing team. This position will be hands-on in managing all aspects of accounting in a high growth environment. This position will report directly to the CEO.Responsibilities* The Controller will prepare reports to summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and cash flow.* Manage and direct a finance team currently consisting of two employees.* Oversee and manage all general ledger activity.* Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.* Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.* Direct preparation and presentation of budgets and forecasts.* Establish and maintain effective and efficient internal controls over accounting and financial reporting functions including documentation of accounting and control policies.* Monitor and process state sales tax, and liaise with accounting firm on activities that impact tax planning* Effectively manage financial staff including hiring, developing, motivating, and mentoring* The Controller will perform other duties as assigned.Requirements* The Controller will have 15+ years' progressive accounting experience in retail and or manufacturing.* Demonstrated management and leadership skills.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the management team.* Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products.* The Controller will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
