ULG Skilled Trades is seeking well-rounded, reliable, experienced individuals for welding supervisor positions in a full-service large weldment and large fabrication manufacturer in the Waukesha, WI area. JOB DETAILS: PAY : $33 - $34/hour DOE plus benefits package WHEN : ASAP upon completion of paperwork and interview process SHIFT : 1 st Shift HOURS : 40+ Hours/Week (OT available weekly) DURATION : Full-Time JOB DESCRIPTION: -- Primarily overseeing STICK & TIG welding -- Oversee production, product quality, and safety within the assigned weld bay. -- Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner -- Schedule production activities and maintain inventory to increase production and quality -- Supervise and provide leadership, coaching, guidance, training, and staff development -- Participate in interviews and selection of employees for assigned bay -- Evaluate employee performance, counsel, and discipline employees when necessary, monitor time and attendance -- Ensure departmental goals of safety, quality, productivity, utilization, cost management, and delivery are met -- Create and maintain an atmosphere of trust and positive morale -- Participate in continuous improvement projects using Kaizen events JOB REQUIREMENTS: -- MUST have High School Diploma -- Technical degree and/or welding certifications preferred -- Ability to read blueprints -- MUST have knowledge and experience of metal fabrication and welding techniques (hardwire, metal-core, flux-core & sub-arc); and large open table set-ups -- Work well in a fast-paced environment, have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to multitask on a variety of projects -- MUST have previous supervisory experience -- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing OR Six Sigma methodologies is a plus This is an excellent company to work for and would be a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate.
