• Voluntary STD and LTD Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily
activities of the Accounts Receivable Medicaid team related to the
billing and accounts receivable functions including training,
performance evaluation, and deployment of resources within the
department. Provides training and development of staff to maximize
reimbursement, customer service, and provides support to management
in order to help effectively identify and implement process
improvements to maximize profitability.
- Supervises Medicaid Accounts Receivable processes and
procedures to ensure quality, efficiency, monitor all account
receivable reports to identify reimbursement trends. Resolves
multiple issues within the department and creates reports for
- Processes all new Managed Care payers and the onboarding of new
- Works to improve Medicaid Accounts Receivable processes through
technology or quality improvements. Develops policies and
procedures for monitoring, identifying and reporting on billing and
refund processing to ensure that all appropriate state payer
deadlines and timely filling are met.
- Supervises and coordinates activities of associates providing
billing and customer support services, ensuring necessary changes
in staffing as needed.
- Interfaces with Treasury, Payer sources, Business Analysts, and
IT personnel to resolve variances and problems, as needed.

Qualifications: Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or other related
field required. Minimum five years related experience required; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience
supervising a team of 10+ associates in a high-volume, fast-paced,
multi-channel environment supervising Medicaid billing, accounts
receivable and/or customer service functions.
Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special
Uses limited independent judgment to make decisions based on
precedents and established guidelines. Solves problems using
standard procedures and precedents. Knows when to refer issues to
supervisor and when to handle them personally.
Knowledge and Skills
Has a working knowledge of a skill or discipline that requires
basic analytic ability. Has an overall understanding of the work
environment and process. Has working knowledge of the organization.
Excellent computer & Microsoft Office skills. Ability to develop
complex spreadsheet models using advanced functionality and develop
queries to acquire and integrate data from existing systems.
Excellent verbal and oral communication skills. Knowledge of
third-party and government programs. Knowledge of State Medicaid
programs, Managed Care programs and authorization processes.
