Job Description:

As the Corporate Accounts Manager, you will focus on developing relationships with all residential corporate account decision-makers and negotiating favorable agreements to use PPG Paints products. This position plays a strategic role in driving national agreements with customers in the New Home Construction, Multi-Family, Franchise Painter, Single Family REIT, and Government segments to increase market share with current customers and new business. This is a remote based position which can be based out of any city in the United States of America,

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business sales with corporate accounts and achieve annual sales targets.
  • Identify sales opportunities, establish, and maintain key stakeholder relationships in an effort to build strategic account partnerships and defined programs - the emphasis should be to improve share and revenue potential with a goal of supply exclusivity by building sales agreements.
  • Develop the sales strategy to identify, prioritize and target the high potential accounts within target segments.
  • Cultivate, develop and maintain multi-level account relationships to drive growth in defined corporate categories at customers' senior level.
  • Analyze financial data on a regular basis, determine and evaluate the need for change to drive financial gains.
  • Implement cost controls, price increases, execute on growth plans and strategies through all channels, lead established pricing policies to improve sales and margins.
  • Maintain accurate records and projects on all accounts and prospects including contacts, call activity and account specs, pricing, colors, reporting requirements in CRM system Client-Link.
  • Ability to work with and influence multiple levels of our organization and the customers' organizations.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge and expertise of PPG products, sundry products, and application/installation methods.
  • Develop launch plans and coordinate program launches with field sales managers and sales reps fully defining their roles and requirements on projects.
  • Implement all Corporate Account programs to field sales stores organization and participating dealers including spec, local targets, color, and pricing information within assigned geography.
  • Travel in the defined region and/or nationwide to call on current and prospective strategic account customers - focus segments include, but are not limited to retail, healthcare, hospitality, governmental, and other related commercial segments.


  • Minimum of three years' experience in corporate account sales with a proven track record of success. Paint or coatings experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma required; college education preferred.
  • Strong orientation to new business development
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, CRM systems, and web-based applications.
  • Possess financial acumen (Understanding of financial statements, customer contribution, and financial drivers at the customer).
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
