The Chief Nursing Officer, Ascension Wisconsin provides vision and
strategic direction for nursing operation and collaborates with
regional and facility nursing leadership to achieve this

The position proactively works to improve and ensure the overall
quality of the patient experience and associate experience by
continuous process improvement objectives and measures. The
position advocates for nursing practice and the patient experience,
helps to develop systems in alignment with the NCOE Caregiver Model
that are patient and family-centered, and promotes the linkage of
key services and functions across the hospitals within the
What You Will Need:
Will, as an active member of the Nursing Ministry Wide Function,
participate & contribute to the National CNO Operations Council
with respect to cascading the Nursing Center of Excellence (NCOE)
work via the 3-year Nursing Dynamic Plan to the market
Collaborates with local nursing leadership, hospital leadership and
medical staff to identify and develop new patient care programs,
policies, procedures, and practice standards for the nursing

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing
obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state
license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
Holds a national nurse certification or obtains within the first
year of employment.
Master's degree required.
5 years of experience required.
10 years of experience is preferred.
2 years of leadership or management experience

Leads the acute nursing care operational improvement activities
driving quality, safety and workforce metrics.
Demonstrated experience in raising and maintaining high levels of
patient satisfaction scores.
Operationalizes and integrates new care delivery models to make

accountability for nursing and clinical operation
Strong business acumen with ability to drive change in a large,
complex organization with matrix reporting
Demonstrated success in leading large scale initiatives that have

a matrix organization and with sponsor partner(s) to ensure that
all business needs are met.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build successful
