We Are Hiring:

RN Manager - CVOR - Cardiovascular Surgical Services

  • Columbia St. Mary's Hospital - Milwaukee, WI 
  • Full-Time, 40 hours/week 
  • Primarily days, but flexibility is a must 

We are looking for a Cardiovascular Operating Room Manager who has the critical surgical skills required to accomplish our mission and vision while driving our advanced strategic direction, mission-inspired goals and priorities.

 

The Manager directs and coordinates the management of staff, materials and other assets as it relates to the Cardiovascular Service Line.  In this role you would  be responsible for 30 direct FTEs. The associate will work in harmony with the General OR Manager. Columbia St. Mary’s is a 432  bed, community-based, tertiary, affiliated teaching hospital on beautiful Lake Michigan

 

  • Represent staff, hospital, OR and Anesthesia-related business and marketing efforts
  • Establish and encourage a positive environment among all hospital nursing/OR teams
  • 14 OR suites, with 3 CV suites/hybrid rooms
  • 143 board certified physicians focusing on a variety of specialities

What You Will Do:

Manage activities, workflow and nursing resources of assigned nursing unit(s).

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit.
  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s). Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
  • Monitor and adhere to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with experience required.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience required.
  • 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
