Be a part of something bigger.Responsibilities:To succeed in this role, you must show an understanding of the emotional and developmental disabilities of the people you serve. When you join our team, you will be enrolled in our training program designed to build the skills and confidence needed to meet your job requirements and build your career with us.As a Direct Support Professional, you will:Ensure safety and security, providing supervision at all times.Complete documentation including tracking behavioral data, shift summaries, incident reports, and more.Assist in development and implantation of treatment plans in collaboration with our treatment team.Instruct and assist students in carrying out their daily living activities, including self-care management and developing social, communication, and emotional regulation skills.Assist in the classroom by providing guidance and acting as a role model for students.Build relationships of trust.Manage behavior of our students.Demonstrate proactive, appropriate, and effective interactions with students while maintaining self-control during crisis interventions.Some positions require meal preparation and administration of medication.Qualifications:Must be least 21 years old.High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.Must be available to work a schedule that will consist of both first and second shifts, every other weekend, double shifts, and a holiday rotation.A valid Wisconsin driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.Schedule, Wage, & Benefit InformationThis is a full-time, 40 hour/week position that requires availability to work both 1st and 2nd shift, as well as alternating weekends, double shifts, and a holiday rotation.$15.50-$17.50/hourly based on education and program placement.Option for earned-wage access - work today, get paid tomorrow!All full-time employees of Genesee Lake School are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including:HealthDentalVisionMedical FSADependent Care FSA401(k)Education AssistanceEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Discount ProgramPaid Time Off (PTO) - a new employee working 40 hours/week will earn over 4 weeks per yearHoliday PayCompany Paid Short-Term & Long-Term DisabilityCompany Paid Life and AD&DVoluntary Life InsuranceEmergency Travel AssistanceGuardian Angels Program (GAP)Student Loan Paydown AssistanceFree meals & coffeeOur CultureThere's more to Genesee Lake School than competitive pay and benefits.
