Eaton's Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a Tool &
Die Maker for 1st Shift to join our team. This position is based at
our South Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility.
The Tool & Die Maker will be responsible for fabricating and
maintaining site tooling includes but not limited to molds, dies,
jigs, fixtures, gauges and material handling tools.

In this role:
You will fabricate, assemble, inspect and troubleshoot molds, dies,
gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype parts, machine parts, material
handling equipment and simple machines per engineering and tool
You will perform gauge and fixture compliance inspection requiring
measurement of critical features outlined on a master print,
recording measurements onto the fixture qualification report and
any additional information into the quality compliance
You will perform preventative and regular maintenance of dies,
molds, fixtures, gauges, material handling equipment and simple
machines making improvement recommendations as necessary.
You will work from tool requests, prints, sketches, sample parts or
verbal instructions and will utilize technical manuals, a machinery
handbook or general literature to determine machine speeds and
feeds, proper clearances and heat treat data.
You will inspect your work with the use of precision instruments
including but not limited to micrometers, Vernier calipers, height
gauges, sine bars, jo-blocks, surface plates dial indicators,
visual comparators and CMM equipment.
You will operate overhead cranes to move tooling, dies, molds and

including making recommendations in the design of new tooling and

and performance of the tool.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
A five-year apprenticeship for a Tool & Die Maker consisting of 576
hours of vocational instruction and 10,400 hours of on the job
training with a Journeyman's Toolmaker Certification.
Experience operating standard machine shop tools and CNC controlled
Must be authorized to work in the United States without
