Job Description SummaryMaintain and continuously improve the
quality management system (QMS) and perform other quality assurance
tasks to maintain the company's compliance to ISO 9001
requirements. Work closely with internal departments to ensure all
aspects of the QMS is understood, implemented and maintained. The
Quality Systems Engineer shall act of the voice of the customer
(VOC) to ensure all customer requirements are implemented,
documented and carried out in a manner consistent with customer
specific requirements. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the Company's QMS Management representative
- Maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO
documented guidelines and outlined company procedures
- Chair the corrective and preventative action program and its
effectiveness
- Provide quality planning for process control and
verification
- Provide Quality Management System training
- Resolve Supplier Discrepant Material issues
- Assist in supplier qualifications and rating
- Maintain supplier corrective action requests and
effectiveness
- Communicate Precision Gears customer quality rating
- Oversee the Document Control System
- Oversee the calibration system
- Assure proper maintenance of Quality Records
- Oversee customer audits
- Maintain Management Review records
- Govern the systematic disposition of discrepant material, and
report outs
- Collection of quality related documentation
- Facilitate cross-functional process review and improvement
meetings
- Drive continuous improvement of the quality systems to achieve
outlined company goals
- Maintain company's safety program documentation to ensure
adherence to outlined OSHA requirements and national standards
- Manage internal training program documentation and development
to ensure training adherence at all levels of the organization
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position may require supervision
of up to 5 employees TECHNICAL SKILLS Use of Microsoft Office, and
ERP systems. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or equivalent
experienceMinimum of high school diplomaExcellent written and
verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 work
