Job Description:
We're excited to share we've been asked to partner with
Milwaukee County to open up a new crisis stabilization unit on the
St. Rose campus in early Q2 of this year to serve females who are
experiencing a mental health crisis. We will be hiring 1 manager
and 6 direct caregivers. This unit, while similar in many ways to
our shelter and stabilization units, will be more clinically

seeking compassionate, patient, and collaborative individuals to
join our team! Responsibilities include working directly with youth
who have experienced trauma by role modeling the skills necessary
to build healthy relationships and teaching important life skills
such as healthy recreation activities, good hygiene, appropriate
social skills, coping skills, and anger management skills. Our
staff assist in the planning of outdoor/indoor activities, engage
interactively with the youth, while also being involved in crisis
management. JOB SUMMARYThe Treatment Specialist is responsible for
providing direct care, support, and services to youth in the Youth
Crisis Stabilization Facility (YCSF). The YCSF serves females 12 -
18 who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The Treatment
Specialist provides crisis intervention and stabilization services
for youth in collaboration with the YCSF team and the youth's
formal and informal support. The Treatment Specialist will provide
services in alignment with best practices, trauma-informed care,
and regulatory compliance while upholding diversity, equity, and
inclusive principalsESSENTIAL DUTIESCreates a supportive, nurturing
environment that promotes stabilization, healing, and
growth.Conducts strength-based, person-centered initial, and
ongoing assessment of needs and strengths.Facilitates the service
planning process and the identification of youth and family needs,
goals, objectives, strengths, barriers, interventions, and their
priority in the treatment planning process.Facilitates daily
Evidence-Based Practice groups and interventions.Embraces
mindfulness, sensory space, and trauma-informed practices as
principles of care.Works collaboratively with internal and external
community partners to ensure continuity of care.Provides direct
supervision/support in the use of social/recreational activities,
daily living skills, and other community services.Monitors youths'
health needs including administration of medications, providing
minor treatments/first aid and coordinating medical services when
necessary.Works collaboratively with the team and current school to
ensure limited disruption in education.Collaborates with the
youth's formal and informal support system including families and
service providers.Works with the youth and their support system to
develop safety and crisis plans.Documents in a timely manner in the
Electronic Health Records system.Ensures patient rights are
maintained.Provides immediate support in on-site crisis
situations.Provides client transport as needed.Provides unit
management services as needed including assistance with meal
preparation/cooking, housekeeping, and laundry.Maintains regular
and reliable attendance.JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation/Training:
Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology, or
related field. Skills/Experience: At least one year of experience
working with youth and/or mental health. Three to five years of
