  • Comprehensive Training Provided for All Positions Position Summary: A Material Handler assists with the loading/unloading of materials and deliveries and moves them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assist with maintaining production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished product for shipping
    • Bring and take away gaylords/containers of raw materials, works in progress, and finished good from the oven cells
    • Assist with organizing the shipping and receiving department.
    • Assists with cycle counts when needed.
    • Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, banding and securing product
    • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspection paperwork
    • Perform job in a safe manner, putting safety first.
    • Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
      • General Understanding of the manufacturing process
      • Strong attention to detail
      • Basic computer skills required- must be able to navigate ERP system comfortably
      • Experience in Epicor or another ERP a plus
      • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing material and supplies in stock and recording location of inventory
      • Locates materials and supplies for production requirements
      • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
      • Ability to communicate with co-workers and work as a team member.
      • Forklift license is required (if no experience, we will train the right individual) Performance Expectations: Quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and thoroughness of work performed: ability to gain the trust and respect of fellow employees: ability to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships: ability to work with and through others is essential to accomplish goals and objectives of Dutchland Plastics. Requires ability to: Plan and organize work effectively and simultaneously; analyze problems, propose reasonable solutions, make logical decisions, carry out decisions made, and follow-up with feedback where appropriate. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
