About Greif

Greif - Wisconsin Paperboard is an essential manufacturer of 100% Recycled Paperboard used in the Corrugated and Industrial Packaging Industries.

Rotating Shifts- 7 days on 1st (6:30-2:30) shift followed by 4 days off / 7 days on 2nd shift (2:30-10:30) followed by 2 days off / 7 days on 3rd shift (10:30-6:30) followed by 1 day off.

The responsibilities of a General Laborer can vary from day to day depending upon operational needs driven by our customer requirements.

Duties include, but not limited to the packaging of our products into finished goods (ticketing, banding, wrapping) per customer specification and transporting to various on-site warehouses.

Successful candidates will receive job specific training in addition to the safe use and operation of Powered Industrial Trucks to transport various materials.

Housekeeping and Safe Work Practices is an essential part of the daily duties. Ensuring good housekeeping standards are met, colleagues are required to inspect and maintain a clean work area (sweep, disinfect, trash removal, dust mitigation, etc.)

Pay Range:

* $21.00 up to $30.91 per hour in Line of Progression

Knowledge and Skills

* Ability to work safe in a team environment.
* Has good judgement, initiative, and ability to carry out assignments with minimal direct supervision.
* Willingness to stand and/or be on feet for up to 12+ hours per day
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as needed.
* Must be able to go up and down on ladders, steps, or other lifts as necessary.
* Must be able to work in poor weather and/or unregulated temperatures 12+ hours/day.
* Ability to work weekends, holidays, and call-in rotations during 24/7 per week operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Routinely clean and lubricate equipment, maintain a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, ready or put away tools as assigned.
* Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply routine materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.
* Performs routine property care activities
* Performs any non-technical routine tasks at the plant.
* Routine quality checks on finished products.
* Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level colleague.
* Follow safety regulations.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent).
