Job Description$1.00 shift premium for 2nd shift3:30 PM to 2:00 AM Monday through ThursdaySummaryReporting to the Production Manager or Designee, the Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership in the assigned Department(s) and associated operations, including but not limited to training and cross-training of employees and assigning work based upon collaborative consultation with other departments such as Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control. In addition, the Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the operation of assigned equipment, to produce a large variety of product in accordance with customer requirements and specifications. Issues direction of the same to staff.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilites will include supporting practices such as, Kanban, VSM, Lean Manufacturing principles, etc. to reduce costs and increase reliability and productivity as well as completing the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel within a given scope or assigned departments, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities in conjunction with the Production Control Department, monitoring progress, reporting results of the processing flow.You will have the ability to cultivate staff by assisting with recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.You will be responsible for maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards and ensuring the operation of equipment by calling for repairs, scheduling with the utilization of internal resources, and /or evaluating new equipment and techniques You will also create and revise systems and procedures for suggesting and implementing change.You will possess the ability to maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures and resolve personnel problems by collaboration with appropriate parties. You may participate in the investigation of issues, identification of solutions, and recommendation(s) of action.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Minimum of a high school education and eight or more years of manufacturing experience including the completion of equivalent training and/or on-the-job experience.Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use shop math (i.e. algebra, trig and geometry).A minimum of five years or more of leadership experience.Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to read blueprints, shop load reports, and to follow and provide detailed instructions.Ability to use precise measuring devices incidental to operations such as ruler, calipers, micrometers, and square and fixed gauges.Ability to work independently and prioritize work for self and others. Thorough understanding of machine capabilities and applications within one's charge.Ability to navigate with EPICOR scheduling system or applicable software systems associated with the operations processes.Capable to read work instructions and operating guidelines and provide instructions of the same to staff resources.You should be proficient in:

  • Blueprint Reading
  • Lean Manufacturing PrinciplesMachines & technologies you'll use:
    • Calipers and Micrometers
    • Measurement GaugesSalary info:$29 - $33 / hr
