Job Description:

Summary:
To receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, perishables, materials, project related
equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment to employees (in-shop and field technicians)
and maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually and in the
computer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other
duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.


  • Receive, store, and issue all perishables, tooling and equipment that resides in the tool crib
  • Select appropriate tooling and equipment to support the shop personnel
  • Select appropriate tooling and equipment to support the mobilization of field jobs
  • Ensure all equipment is in appropriate location
  • Utilize and maintain accurate records in TRACE
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean work area
  • Complete other tasks/projects assigned by Tool Crib Coordinator

    Qualifications:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
    satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or
    ability required.
    Education:
    High school diploma or GED certificate, preferred
    Experience & Skills:

    • 1 year of experience in a related role
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints & mechanical drawings
    • Knowledge of carbide drills, end mills, inserted cutters, and boring tooling
    • Ability to measure/inspect: lengths, diameters, straightness, flatness, etc
    • Machining experience, preferred

      Language Skills:

      • Ability to read and interpret internal documents such as safety rules, production schedules,
        purchase orders, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
      • Ability to write routine

        correspondence.

        • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.

          Mathematical Skills:
          Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
          common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages,
          ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
          Reasoning Ability:
          Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
          where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of specifications and
          information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

          • Work effectively in a collaborative team environment
          • Troubleshoot and solve problems using critical thinking skills
          • Organize and manage priorities, meet deadlines, and expectations
          • Follow through on projects from conception to completion.

            Physical Demands:
            While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
            Occasionally sit, use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls
            Frequently talk or hear, stand and walk, climb ladders and stairs, stoop, kneel, bend or crouch, lift and/or move physical products (up to 50 lbs)
            Specific vision abilities: include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust
            focus
            Work Environment:
            The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
            These include: forklift traffic,
            overhead cranes, machining, welding, moving of mechanical parts and moderate noise. The majority of the work is performed indoors in a shop and office environment. Will spend a minimal amount of time outdoors in hot, cold, or otherwise inclement weather during part of the workweek.
            Other Requirements:

            • Valid driver's license, preferred
            • Successful completion of IPM Overhead Crane Training, required
            • Successful completion of IPM's Forklift Training, required
            • Valid Forklift license, required
            • Ability to utilize multiple mobile apps for time sheet entry, travel, expense reporting, etc

              You should be proficient in:

              • Blueprint Reading
              • Forklift Licensed
