SUMMARYReporting to the Team Supervisor, the CNC Machinist is responsible for completing the required machining operations for special orders, secondary operations on production components, and primary operations on CNC machined components.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.1. Runs production by loading mechanism by lifting stock into position and cycling the machine. Does so through safe operations and adhering to safety procedures and regulations2. Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to applicable quality, customer, and company standards.3. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer and work instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and making suggestions for repairs.4. Assure product and production environment meets company and customer expectations of quality, productivity, organization and workmanship.5. Accurately report production data, including recommendations for engineering changes as appropriate.6. Assist team leaders, programmer, and peers as directed, to include fixture building and die component creation or maintenance.7. Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of a high school education and two or more years of machining experience including the completion of equivalent training and/or on-the-job experience.2. Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use shop math (i.e. algebra, trig and geometry).3. Familiar with milling and turning tools, offset adjustment and tool replacement.4. G code and M code proficientJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities1. Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions.2. Ability to use precise measuring devices incidental to operations such as ruler, calipers, micrometers, and square and fixed gauges.3. Ability to work independently and prioritize work with minimal supervision.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to bend, stoop, climb ladders, balance and move about the facility. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The CNC Machinist must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 70 pounds on an occasional basis.You should be proficient in:

  • G-Code
  • M-Code
  • Manual Machining SkillsMachines & technologies you'll use:
    • CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
    • CNC Lathe (2-4 axis)
    • CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC)
    • CNC Lathe (5+ axis)
