JOB SUMMARYSupervised Visitation Workers facilitate visits occurring between parent(s) and child(ren) who have been removed from the parent's care due to abuse or neglect. Provide transportation for children to and from supervised visits. During visits, the Supervised Visitation Worker will focus on the observation and documentation of parenting skills. This includes appropriate and inappropriate interactions, age expectations, behavior management techniques, and visit planning/preparation. Sibling visits need to focus on establishing and/or maintaining sibling relationships. Documentation should describe the interactions of the involved family members including greetings, activities, interactions, conversations, and care provided by parents as well as actions providers or parents took to redirect inappropriate situations. This service is intended to support parents and model appropriate parent/child interactions. Intervention is expected when needed to teach the parent appropriate behavior management techniques and to ensure child's safety/well-being.ESSENTIAL DUTIESFacilitates and supervises interactions between children and parents.Remains within sight and hearing of clients at all times during supervised visits.Redirects and coaches parents when needed on child engagement, discipline, nutrition, hygiene, and basic care.Transports child(ren) in and out of car seats and to and from visits safely in accordance with traffic laws and safety policies.Provides written documentation of each visit within three days of service using the specified format, entered in the online system.Attends required training and meetings.Attends family team meetings as requested by referring Case Managers. NECESSARY TO PERFORM JOBValid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.Reliable, adequately insured automobile.Cell phone.Access to computer and internet service.REQUIRED EXPERIENCEEducation/Training: Must be 21 years of age or older. Minimum of High School Diploma/GED. Associate's Degree or higher preferred.Skills: Ability to work with children and families, a valid driver's license, and an acceptable driving record with two years of driving experience. You will be responsible to provide transportation for children. Good communication and great computer skills to provide accurate and thorough written documentation. Access to a computer and internet service is required.
