This role entails registering guests, managing reservations, and providing information about rooms, rates, and amenities. Job Responsibilities:

* Complete, modify & cancel reservations accurately, register & check out guests, review reservations for special service requests, and post payments using the hotel software system
* Exhibit high-quality, professional, customer service skills when welcoming and attending to guests' needs
* Handle and resolve customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction and brand loyalty
* Complete reservations by selling hotel guestrooms and services to potential customers
* Ensure guest folio balances are accurate and within established credit limits
* Adhere to all hotel cash handling procedures
* Exhibit professional interpersonal communication skills when dealing with guests and coworkers
* Assist in the training of new and existing front office employees
* Recognize frequent stay guests and accommodate their needs to the best of one's ability
* Accurate and timely communication of pertinent information to management and co-workers
* Guarantee privacy and security to all hotel guests in adherence to company policies and procedures
* Submit complete duty sheets at shift end
* Exhibit collaborative skills to accomplish maximum service for the department and property
* Comprehend how all departments within the hotel work together and affect each other, guests, and service
* Promote teamwork and assist with breakfast and basic housekeeping duties in the front/lobby area when/if necessary
* Recognize and follow company procedures and policies as defined in the Employee Handbook
* Complete any tasks given by the supervisor

*Requirements*

* Customer service background and basic knowledge of sales techniques
* Comfortable using a computer with general math aptitude for cash handling
* Previous hotel front desk experience is a plus
* With friendly and professional verbal communication skills
* Ability to read, write and type
* Able to stand for the duration of the scheduled shift and lift up to 30 lbs
