Job Description:

Assume primary responsibility for the Catholic identity of schools and the faith formation of school personnel. Under the direction of the Archbishop and in collaboration with other Archdiocesan offices, develop and implement both short-term and long-term plans for strengthening Catholic education in all areas:Catholic identity, academics, enrollment growth, marketing, staffing, financing, policy development, safety, and school governance, planning, and restructuring. - Together with the Office for Schools staff and other Archdiocesan offices, assist pastors, presidents, and principals in their efforts to stabilize and strengthen Catholic education locally and regionally. Ensure that Catholic schools are in compliance with Church directives, Archdiocesan policies, and the requirements of public regulatory entities. Lead and oversee integration of the Defining Characteristics for Catholic Schools and the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools in all aspects of Catholic education in the Archdiocese. Lead efforts to ensure that Catholic education is affordable, viable, and accessible for students of diverse backgrounds, races, and capabilities. Personally represent the Archbishop on high school and other boards or appoint Associate Superintendents to serve in that capacity. Annually convene and lead meetings of the Board of Counselors for the Archdiocesan secondary schools.Represent the Archbishop and / or the Office for Schools at public events or within organizations as needed. Support, assist, and provide leadership for the Associate Superintendents and other Archdiocesan personnel in the following: academics, accreditation, athletics, budget management, busing, crisis management, development, human resources, marketing, Safe Environment, and other areas as needed. -Lead and oversee the Exemplary Recognition Program, the Kohl Fellowship Program, and other programs/events as needed. Supervise and collaborate with the Associate Superintendents and Office for Schools administrative assistants. Qualifications Practicing Catholic, able to participate in the full sacramental life of the Church. Deep understanding of and commitment to Catholic education as central to the teaching mission of the Church. Master's degree in Educational Administration or a related field required, advanced degree preferred. Successful experience as a Catholic school administrator required. Appropriate Wisconsin certification. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.Strong relationship, organizational, and communication (both oral and written) skills. Demonstrated planning and implementation skills. Ability to analyze and process complex problems. Ability to lead, manage, and empower a highly skilled team. Ability to drive/travel throughout the Archdiocese, the state, and the nation when required.Willingness to be involved in local, state, and national educational organizations.
