each other. Position Summary: This position is responsible for
welcoming and helping to transition consumers into CCS, a
psychosocial rehabilitative program. The intake coordinator is
responsible for accepting referrals for admissions, completing the
intake process according to CCS policies and expectations,
consulting with the mental health professional, substance use
professional and under the guidance of the CCS Administrator. This
position may also require the intake coordinator to carry a small
caseload until the consumers can be transitioned to a permanent
care coordinator.Essential Functions:1. Manage all aspects of a
time limited intake process by following existing checklists as
well as CCS policies and procedures. 2. Develop rapport with
consumers who will present with an array of mental health,
substance use or co-occurring needs. 3. Work with consumers to
identify and build an initial recovery support team of
professionals as well as natural supports. 4. Complete all
necessary assessments as part of the intake process including
determination of program eligibility using a functional screen. 5.
Responsible for accurate documentation and maintaining case files
as required by agency policy, government regulations, and
applicable local, state and federal codes. 6. Maintain knowledge of
both mental health and substance use disorders. Other Duties and

Qualifications:Minimal Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Social
Work or a related field; Master's Degree preferred; one (1) year of
experience working in the mental health and substance use field
preferred. Must meet all the WCS employee requirements including
references, criminal and caregiver background checks, and drug
screen, and have a valid driver's license and insured automobile,
with an acceptable driving record per the terms of the agency's
insurance.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Clinical knowledge and
skills to work with a mental health recovery population;
organization skills in managing multiple intakes and potentially a
small caseload of consumers following the intake; experience in
working with individuals in recovery who have mental health
concerns and/or substance use concerns; excellent assessment and
interviewing skills; good understanding of mental health and
substance use symptomatology and its effects on consumers and their
families; ability to support consumers in difficult situations;
flexible and able to multitask throughout the work day; effective
use of time and resources to help maintain quality CCS services;
computer skills including Word, Excel, and willingness to learn
internal Electronic Medical Records; and ability to meet deadlines.
Capable of working both independently and as a member of a team,
