Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.The Mechanical Engineer, will be responsible for Mechanical structure design of medium voltage drives of Motion Business Area in New Berlin, Wisconsin, and will maintain design of classic stage products, support sales, purchasing and manufacturing.This position reports toProduct Engineering & Quality ManagerYour responsibilities

• Being responsible for Mechanical design of cabinets and its parts for medium voltage drives. Create and maintain 3D modelling and drawings utilizing Solid Edge and SAP
• Prepare of concept and mechanical solution for MV (Medium Voltage ) drives based on customer specifications
• Manage projects to reduce cost, assuring quality of new and existing designs
• Participate in developing new solutions as well as defining and implementing new ideas for mechanical designing in collaboration with global groups
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Purchasing
• A high level of independence and responsibility for the tasks entrusted
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to the tasks assigned
• Strong motivation, willingness to learn, expand knowledge and technical skillsYour background
  • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering with 5 years working experience with mechanical design of medium voltage products or similar industry experience required.
  • 3D mechanical design capability, proficient in Solid Edge, Creo or other 3D programs required.
  • Knowledge in sheet metal design and production, and experience in understanding heat dissipation in air-cooled equipment highly preferred.
  • Experience with switchgear designs, industrial control panel layout Experience for Low Voltage or Medium Voltage products, Familiarity with UL347A and UL508A standards and experience in using SAP for document controls are highly preferred.More about usABB System Drives is a global supplier of high-power, high-performance drives, drive systems and packages for industrial processes and large infrastructure applications.
