Position Overview
Will perform a variety of jobs fitting together manufactured and
purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products. These
products can be mechanical, electrical or a combination of both.
This individual will have the opportunity to acquire the skills
necessary to advance to the Advanced Assembler #1
classification.
Duties and Responsibilities
Read and understand blue prints and routings to produce parts from
them to the required specifications.
Responsible for the quality of the assemblies produced. Perform
first piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall
quality.
Responsible for the care of routine maintenance and keeping the
work area neat and clean.
Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine
guarding.
Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality and safety.
Skills and Experience
