The Senior Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance
Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will develop, integrate, and
maintain crucial applications for effectively onboarding new field
financial representatives and making them productive. Develop new
features for modernization effort to eliminate manual workaround
and automate time consuming activities to improve field experience
of Financial Representatives. Utilize BPMN tools including Activiti
BPM or Collibra BPM. Develop a new micro service using java Sprint
boot, design, build and maintain BPMN efficient workflows using
flowable solution (Intelligent Business Automation solutions),
design and develop frontend applications using react framework.
Collaborate, design, test, and partner with stakeholders, including
marketing, editorial, design teams, and sister engineering teams.
Collaborate with cross technology teams to integrate BPM
applications with enterprise systems, setup and deploy
infrastructure and cloud environments, and secure applications.
Create technical artifacts, including process flowcharts,
design/architecture documents, and UML model. Provide technical
guidance throughout business process improvement and modernization
efforts to engineer methodologies and principles, including
associated processes, technology, skills, and organizational
culture. Analyze application logs to ensure that functionality and
performance metrics meet all product and service level
requirements. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Salary
$123,386 - $181,870 per year. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's
degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
plus 5 years of experience as a software developer or related
occupation. 5 years of experience must include 3 years with each of
the following: (1) Java and its APIs; (2) open-source Java
frameworks including Spring and Hibernate; (3) BPMN tools including
Activiti BPM or Collibra BPM; (4) RESTful microservices; (5)
writing SQL queries in DB2; and (6) developing frontend
