Caterpillar Gear Machinist Job DescriptionCaterpillar is seeking a skilled Gear Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning centers to produce high-quality gears.Key Responsibilities:

• Review manufacturing documents to ensure accurate operation sequence and setup information.
• Set up and align parts using work holding equipment such as vices, jaws, chucks, and clamps.
• Operate CNC turning centers using process instructions and G & M code programs.
• Adjust machine parameters as needed to achieve precise machining operations.
• Perform in-process inspection of machined parts to ensure quality standards.Requirements:
  • Experience with CNC turning centers and gear production.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
