Since transforming the future of energy is challenging, we provide competitive compensation, incentives, excellent benefits, and opportunities for a rewarding career.Primary PurposeJoin Exelon's Work and Asset Management team to help set the direction for the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Platform as part of the Technical Architecture and Strategy Team.The EAM Transformation program is a multi-year initiative aimed at transforming Exelon's Work, Asset, and Supply business capabilities and delivering the Enterprise Asset Management solution. The IT-Principal Architect will develop the strategy, standards, and architecture to support the implementation of the EAM platform, products, and solutions aligned with business objectives.The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, partners, and project teams to document the strategy and architecture for the EAM products and platform.Manage resources, finances, scope, and services within the IT domain to deliver results on time, within budget, and with the required functionality. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, participate in strategy development, and manage large, complex projects with significant change management risks.Note: This position may require extended hours, including 24/7 coverage during storms or emergencies.Note: This is a hybrid role with in-office and remote work; employees are expected to be in the office at least three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).Primary Duties

  • Provide technical expertise to identify and implement technology solutions that achieve business results.
  • Act as a thought leader within the Architecture community, challenging the status quo.
  • Be approachable and visible to architects and engineers at all levels.
  • Contribute to the development and governance of architecture standards, patterns, and practices.
  • Ensure operational compliance with regulatory requirements, including privacy, data retention, accessibility, and security.
  • Translate business capabilities into practical technology roadmaps through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business and IT partners, communicating status regularly.
  • Stay informed on trends and new technologies, evaluating their impact on the business.
  • Provide input on IT personnel performance to support evaluations and career development.Job Scope
    • Maintain deep knowledge of technology applications within Exelon.
    • Share knowledge through seminars, presentations, and publications.
    • Determine practices that relate technology to business needs.
    • Drive technological innovation to create new business opportunities and solve complex problems.
    • Operate independently with minimal supervision.Minimum Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with 7-10 years of diverse IT experience in architecture, or 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
      • Experience in emerging technology strategy, research, and development.
      • Proven ability to design complex enterprise solutions.
      • Ability to promote structured architecture practices.
      • Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and deployment roadmaps.
      • Expertise in designing and implementing highly distributed global systems.
      • Strong leadership, influence, collaboration, and communication skills.
      • Understanding of change management for technology implementations.
      • Experience in developing economic business cases.
      • Excellent judgment, analytical, and consulting skills.Preferred Qualifications
        • Prior architecture experience (solution, application, enterprise).
        • Strong knowledge of IFS products, especially EAM solutions.
        • IFS Scope Tool expertise.
        • Deep knowledge of IFS modules and delivery methodology.
        • Azure Cloud Platform experience.
        • Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF).BenefitsBenefits include:
