We have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of what's possible.As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Credit Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.Job responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technical issues for JPMorgan's Credit Derivative Trading Technology.
• Partner directly with product teams, trading, quantitative research, and other key partners to identify and implement technical solutions for workflow automation and trading efficiency.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues to improve operational stability of software applications and systems.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability within existing systems.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new technologies.
• Contribute to team culture emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced knowledge of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Proficiency in software applications and technical processes within disciplines like cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile.
• Deep understanding of the financial services industry and IT systems.
• Practical experience with cloud-native development.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Knowledge of Credit market structures including Credit Default Swaps and CDS Indices.
