Studios is looking for a UI Designer to join our team on a
temporary basis!In this role, you will contribute to web and mobile
application design projects, working closely with design leads to
create high-quality user-centered solutions. You will balance
creative problem-solving with the technical proficiency needed to
execute visually stunning and functional designs. This role demands
advanced knowledge of Figma, including design system and file
library management, as well as a strong grasp of responsive design
principles and current web design trends.PLEASE NOTE: This is a
40hr/wk contract role with an expected total duration of 3-4
months. Extension beyond that timeframe and/or conversion into a
fulltime role is possible but not anticipated.ALSO NOTE: Candidates
local to the Chicago market will be prioritized but highly
qualified candidates in other markets may also be considered.About

and technologies as well as how competitors within the industry are
doing things.

and to the team around you.Key Focus Areas:
- Design System Management: Build, update, and publish components
within Figma to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Advanced Figma Expertise: Maintain and organize file libraries,
leveraging Figma's latest features to optimize workflows.
- User-First Approach: Emphasize user experience optimizations
and accessibility in every project.
- Responsive Design Thinking: Craft designs that adapt seamlessly
across web and mobile platforms.
- Attention to Trends: Stay informed on evolving web design
trends to ensure deliverables are innovative and
modern.ResponsibilitiesDesign and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with design leads to develop page layouts, grids,
typography, and color systems.
- Create, manage, and publish reusable components in design
systems.
- Help select photos and assist in photo-touching.
- Maintain high quality on creative deliverables, ensuring brand
consistency and attention to detail.Research and Optimization:
- Conduct research on users, competitors, and design trends to
inform project directions.
- Ensure deliverables adhere to usability and accessibility
standards.
- Regularly refine workflows to improve efficiency and
consistency.
- Complete research projects and other day-to-day requests,
supporting the broader design team.Client Presentation:
- Assist in crafting mood boards, storyboards, and prototypes to
communicate ideas effectively.
- Confidently deliver presentations to clients, clearly
explaining design rationale and solutions.Qualifications
- There is no specific educational requirement for this role
- 3-5 years of professional design experience with a focus on
digital visual and/or UI design, preferably in an advertising
agency environment
- Strong skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud required;
proficiency with other specialized design tools such as Sketch,
Adobe XD, Invision, PowerPoint, and/or similar tools preferred...
bonus points for experience in motion design/animation
- Experience and proficiency with prototyping tools and workflows
in the creation of interactive experiences preferred
- Experience with Figma Dev Mode for improved collaboration with
developers preferred
- Experience with visual design across a variety of digital
channels including UI, iconography, hand/digital illustration,
storyboarding, motion, branding, ecommerce, .com. mobile,
responsive web, typography, and/or similar deliverables
- An understanding of the fundamentals of user experience
design
- Prior experience working alongside UX teams to design visual
assets to be included as part of a holistic, functional user
experience
- Proven experience managing and scaling design systems
- Working knowledge of service and e-commerce design
- Solid understanding of interactivity and web design
principles
- Familiarity with mobile app design fundamentals and current web
standards
- Strong working knowledge of design and layout applications
- Passion for achieving graphic excellence and contributing
innovative ideas
- Comfortable with self-directed learning and exploring new tools
or solutions to enhance designs
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive approach
to problem-solving
- Comfort self-organizing your work and time, seeking direction
when needed
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication
skills
- A portfolio or work samples showcasing beautiful, modern
digital design and strong systems design thinking is REQUIRED and
should be included at time of application; more sensitive work may
be shared by PDF or via Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar
repository rather than in a public portfolio. Please provide

$43-$65/hr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay
for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with
applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the
skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with
the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the
right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be
eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee
medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system
once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also
qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility
criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer
