WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
This position is responsible for the supervision of the shipping,
receiving and service parts departments. Works in various computer
programs to support these operations. Works with external contacts
to support equipment maintenance, facilities and private fleet
operations. Interacts with production and customer service to
support order fulfillment. Supports the Logistics Manager as
MAJOR JOB DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITY:
Shipping and receiving: supervises hourly employees handling
shipping, receiving and facilities tasks. Investigates
discrepancies to support customer service, purchasing and
accounting departments. Works with production regarding the
movement and storage of materials.
Service parts department: supervises hourly employees handling
inventory and order fulfillment. Works with customer service for
Private fleet operations: oversees the loading and unloading of
Badger Meter trucks in support of Nogales production facility.
Responsible for preparation of shipment manifests and documents.
Verifies receipts and resolves discrepancies.
Miscellaneous support functions: schedules the change out of
compactors and dumpsters to support facilities. Schedules repairs
of forklifts and is responsible for forklift computers. Oversees
the scrap meter and brass programs including audits, document
preparation and scheduling. Verifies international receiving
documents for international compliance. Is responsible for carrying
out and reporting on monthly dock inventories.
Additional projects and tasks as assigned.
* 5+ years of experience in a related field
* Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or
* Intermediate expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Intermediate expertise with ERP systems (LX or equivalent)
Familiarity with using Transportation software
Foundational knowledge of forklift operation
Experience with Private fleet operations preferred
Hazardous Materials Shipper certification preferred, will train if
