Duties and Responsibilities:Support a follow-the-sun operations center strategy to monitor and troubleshoot networks, servers, applications, and core infrastructure using tools such as Solarwinds, Alert Logic, Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite and other monitoring platforms to ensure uptime for business-critical systems and applicationsPerform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server and storage resources, systems and key processes; reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backupsPerform daily security checks, validating potential compromise of users, firewalls, security appliances, Honey Pots, and other security monitoring tools and logs.Work with the Management team in conjunction with the Security Operations Center to report, triage, validate, remediate, and escalate security events.Perform daily operational network & system infrastructure checks and balances for Production environmentsAssist with administering and gathering required reports, components and documentation needed for annual compliance auditsPerform diagnostics by retrieving performance statistics on networks from symplr's network infrastructure and cloud operationsExecute & coordinate on-call escalations for 24x7x365 infrastructure & hosted environmentsInitiate incident management & response with structured escalation levels for Production issuesMonitor various applications and monitoring consoles to maintain availability & performance metricsMaintain network and systems preventive maintenance logging efforts to ensure network and data integrityProvide capacity planning metrics on production infrastructure for forecasting purposesAssist engineering project teams with the implementation, upgrades and support of core infrastructure products and services, including the analysis, testing and rolling-out of solutionsHelp maintain and install monthly software updates and patches on development, QA and production servers during afterhours maintenance windowsWork on-call outside of regular business hoursSkills Required:Understanding of intermediate to advanced administration of monitoring tools sets used to enterprise systems and applicationsKnowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniquesAbility to troubleshoot and maintain networks and related hardware and softwareAbility to follow detailed procedural documentation and execute pre-defined play book processes based off flow chart logicExcellent time management skills, resource organization and priority establishment skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to analyze complex infrastructure issues and escalate to appropriate resources according to established SLAsExcellent written and verbal communication skills to all levels of the company and ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnelAttention to detail and organizedAbility to work independently and as part of a teamQualifications:Have HEART.
