Saz's Catering Lake Country, a division of Saz's Hospitality Group is preparing to kick off another incredible seasons of events, and we are seeking cooks at all levels to help ensure we're delivering The Finest food to our guests!

Depending on your background and skills, we have positions available for Prep Cooks, who will prepare foods in our production kitchen in advance of catering events, Production Cooks, who will work at our facility and on-site at events, setting up mobile kitchens, preparing food items for service or carving food to order and Chefs de Partie, who will lead shifts of culinary team members at our permanent and event facilities, client venues and ensure the highest standards of food production through management of labor and food.

All culinary team members are responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the kitchen, and the appropriate stocking, rotation and labeling of food products.

On-the-job training will be provided to ensure you are up to speed on our menus and procedures, but prior experience is required for each of these roles. A variety of positions and shifts are available to accommodate your schedule and experience.

--- Consistently produce food products in accordance with existing recipes and procedures
--- Follow all safety, sanitation and HACCP procedures as instructed
--- Knowledge of all basic cooking techniques and skills, including knife skills, basic cuts, all cooking methods
--- Knowledge of basic equipment including steamer, fryer, kettle, convection oven, combi oven, griddle
--- Basic understanding of herbs, spices, and various flavoring ingredients
--- Ability to roast, broil, braise, saut--, fry, and grill (including breakfast items)
--- Ability to work in a production capacity
--- Ability and flexibility to be continually rotated to different stations
--- Complete tasks as instructed and within the time frame assigned

Essential job functions
Squat, kneel, climb ladders or step stools as needed
Use industrial cleaning chemicals
Grip objects and tools (including wet or slippery items); utilize fine motor skills
Stand up to 12 hours at a time
Lift up to 50 lbs to chest level and up to 30 lbs overhead
Ability to communicate verbally in English; ability to communicate in Spanish beneficial but not required
Ability to read English; ability to read and write Spanish beneficial but not required
Consistent, timely attendance
Understanding of metric system of measurement
