WK is rapidly growing and seeking to expand our team with, International Shipping Coordinator - This role requires professionalism, being detail orientated, and being willing to work outside of the office environment (25% of the time). This is a fast-paced environment where the ideal candidate would have international shipping experience (document creation and booking the freight), great communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products like outlook, excel, and word, SAP experience, bi-lingual (Spanish), and willing to work overtime as needed. Duties and Responsibilities: Safety First --- follow all safety guidance and manage all safety issues to ensure adherence to established processes, to conduct root cause and preventative actions to report all incidents to supervisor in a timely manner. Working knowledge of SAP and appropriate SAP transactions is required. Being able to speak English and Spanish is required. Booking of freight with established freight forwarders to include creating all related international shipping documentation Understanding of INCOTERMS 2020 and freight terms Understanding the required fields of International Commercial Invoices Ensuring professional communication with internal/external customers Work overtime and weekends based on workload as needed/requested. Maintain work area in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion by following 5S procedures Be willing to work in both an office environment (75-80%) and in the warehouse (20-25%) to manage international freight and package processing Perform any other duties as assigned. Requirements: Education: High School Diploma Experience and/or Training: 2-5 years of experience in a logistics/international export position. A good knowledge of shipping practices (both international and domestic) is necessary for success and growth in the role. Preferred Education: --- Associate Degree Experience and/or Training: 4-7 years of progressive experience in logistics/international operations Professional Skills: SAP, Leadership, Counseling Soft Skills: Social Skills, Problem-Solving, Time and Self-Management, Effective Communication, Teamwork of staff Working Conditions: Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all safety and environmental policies/procedures. Each associate is to place environment, health, and safety requirements as a first priority in the performance of all work duties. An associate is responsible for notifying their immediate supervisor of a violation or deficiency in safety and/or working conditions and for recommending corrective measures, if possible. All injuries, illness, or near-miss incidents will be immediately reported to the associate---s supervisor. Good working conditions in a manufacturing plant and associated warehouse operations. Moderate physical effort including frequent standing/walking and occasional exposure to high noise levels (82-110 decibels) may be required. During summer months, exposure to heat and humidity may occur. Lifting/carrying objects up to a maximum of 50 pounds is necessary. Ability to twist, bend, stoop, and climb ladders is also required.
