Ace World Wide is a successful, privately held corporation with annual sales of $70 million. The Company is a relocation, logistics and fulfillment company for a world-class customer base.

Location:
Cudahy, Wisconsin. The Company is conveniently headquartered near the interstate with easy access to all parts of the greater Milwaukee area. They also have profit centers in Illinois, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Nevada and California.

Summary / Objective:
This role is primarily responsible for accurate and timely analysis of financial statements at group and subsidiary level. The ideal candidate will identify process improvements, create efficiencies, and promote cost savings while partnering with the General Managers and Executive team to help move the business and Company forward.Specific Responsibilities
o Perform monthly close activities for multiple profit centers:
o Prepare and post journal entries
o Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations which includes reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
o Analyze monthly financial results, provide commentary on major variances, and share results with cross-functional team members
o Identify trends in performance and provide recommendations for improvements
o Work collaboratively to standardize reporting and accounting conclusions, drive process improvements and efficiencies in the consolidated and financial reporting process
o Research and evaluate technical accounting guidance for unique business transactions
o Provide various support schedules and analysis for the annual external financial audit
o Assess, improve, and maintain a system of internal controls
o Prepare Company sales and use tax returns and various other non-income tax returns and schedules
o Assist with the on-going migration to a true ERP platform

Candidate Specifications and Requirements
o Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, CPA or CMA preferred
o Minimum of 5 years of relative and progressive finance and/or accounting experience
o Must have organizational skills to be an efficient hands-on skilled professional who can develop and lead project teams
o Strong accounting skills, including the application of accounting theory
o Excellent verbal, listening, and writing skills with an ability to communicate across various levels within the team and organization
o Ability to work independently and form effective working relationships while remaining objective and impartial
o Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite products required. Experience with an integrated accounting system is required - Sage 100 is a plus
o Driven and motivated to meet and exceed expectations and established deadlines
o Excellent attention to detail
