Job Description:

Position Summary

This Quality Assurance Assistant will support the Quality Manger in the ongoing development and growth of business processes by identifying, leading and participating in the continuous improvement opportunities. The Quality Assurance Assistant will support in the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System, and act as a champion in driving a proactive safety culture while providing quality services to exceed the expectations of our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Customer Satisfaction:

Create and maintain employee training files.

Maintain training matrix and create corresponding training records.

Conduct Quality training for new hires.

Update work instructions and maintain controlled documents.

Conduct daily audits and report findings.

Data collection, data entry, and weekly/monthly reporting.

Participate in CAR's, PAR's and ISO audits.

Partners with leadership in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.

Employee Development:

Work with the Quality Team to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of Work Instructions.

Develop training material to supplement work instructions and on-the-job training as needed.

Communicate errors to ensure corrective actions are identified and implemented.

Escalate recurring issues to management.

Provide performance-based self-evaluation to management for annual evaluations.

Attend meetings as required and communicate relevant topics to the team.

Lead by example through maintaining a professional and positive attitude.

Safety:

Attend facility safety meetings and training sessions.

Recognize and abate hazards to drive the promotion of AW2's safety program.

Report all near misses, safety incidents, accidents, and employee injuries per established procedures.

Quality:

Document information and complete reports for management.

Schedule and conduct quality audits and comply with all established quality procedures.

Report customer complaints following the established reporting criteria.

Participate in physical inventory as assigned.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

2-year degree in Business Management or Logistics preferred.

Experience:

2-3 years of clerical experience, preferably in a warehouse setting.

Experience with Excel formulas, Pivot tables, and PowerPoint presentations.

Experience with QMS and ISO preferred, but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Commitment to safety as demonstrated through previous work.

Personal accountability with a customer-focused sense of urgency.

Establish an assertive presence to lead, delegate, direct and motivate others within a team environment to reach operational goals.

Integrity beyond reproach, positive can-do attitude and exceptional work ethic.

Able to make decisions, set priorities and solve problems with composure.

Good interpersonal and communication skills; possess good phone and email etiquette.

Ability to complete projects that may include evenings and weekends.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Good organizational skills; ability to multitask; demonstrate flexibility.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Oracle or equivalent business process systems experience preferred.

Ability to stand, sit, bend, pivot, and lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.

Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English proficiently.

Excellent attendance history.
