Maintenance Technician I*$2,000 HIRING BONUS*Sumitomo is looking for a full time Maintenance Technician to join our New Berlin, WI team. We are open to any level of experience and will provide training. Come learn a unique skill and grow your manufacturing career!Brief Description This is an entry-level maintenance position. Applicants with basic knowledge of using tools or experience using hand tools at home or in a work environment and who have a basic mechanical understanding are possible candidates. Training will be provided so this is a good place to start in the maintenance field. Responsibilities include. Performing basic preventive maintenance on production equipment. Cleaning filters and elements and completing general PM on coolant systems and mist collection components. Changing or adding oils and lubricants to production equipment. General cleaning and organization of tools and maintenance area. Diagnose and repair/replace worn parts in machine tools and other equipment.Description of DutiesPercentage of TimeSupport for safety points found by Safety Team and Others10%Regular PM and filter changes in coolant systems40%Regular PM and element changes in mist collector systems20%Regular PM and greasing of Walter grinders20%Regular PM of other machines and cleaning 10%What skills and experience are needed. Ability to learn as training will be provided for this entry-level maintenance position. Ability to lift 50 lbs.+ Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors. Basic knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs a plus but not required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools.Supervisory Position: NoWork Environment: Well-lit machine shop with moderate noise. Staff members will need to be able to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing.
