• Paid HolidaysJob DetailsThe material handler is responsible for picking, staging, storing, transferring, and delivery of raw materials, finished goods, and work in progress products (WIPs) in a safe, accurate, and timely manner between all manufacturing locations and warehouse facilities.Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
  • Ability to work in a team or independently
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate issues or concerns should they arise
  • Must be dependable to complete all assignments efficiently, as requested, with minimal assistance
  • Time management skills required to meet job deadlines
  • Detail orientated, good with numbers and counting
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Seasoned forklift experience
  • 1-2 years warehouse experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.Equipment operation:
    • Manual pallet jack

    • Forklift

    • Bar Code Scanners ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
      • Pick/move and distribute appropriate material according to traveler's job requirement.
      • Ensure that the correct material is pulled, transferred, or staged for upcoming jobs.
      • Load and unload material by operating a forklift safely to the required job location.
      • Efficiently stack and store product materials. Accurately record storage locations for inventory control purposes.
      • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory accuracy and control are maintained. Assist in physical inventories when required.
      • Report all potential inventory shortages, problems with raw materials or quality deviations immediately to the Shift Supervisor and/ or Production Inventory controller.
      • Ensure correct material labeling and storage procedures are being followed. Labels may include item numbers, description of contents, lot number, and weight.
      • Use of IQMS Mobile Scanning Device to accurately keep track of any materials which are transferred to/from staging, storage, and manufacturing areas.
      • Material sorting, wrapping, packing and repacking as needed. Sort pallets when necessary.
      • Safely operate each piece of equipment: Forklift and manual/electric pallet jacks.
      • Report all mechanical problems with machinery to shift leader.
      • Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to packing slips, document incoming and outgoing shipments, and distributing items to various departments.
