Job Summary
Filling orders by preassembling individual items into ready-to-ship kits instead of picking and packing those individual items as orders are received is known as material handling. Specifically, material handling involves a process where separate but related items are grouped, packaged, and supplied together as one unit.
Job Responsibilities

• 
  
• 
  Receive materials into system and properly place in warehouse
  
  
• 
  Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
  
  
• 
  Pull, pack and ship material as needed to support 3rd party engineering and assembly operations
  
  
• 
  Packaging parts for making accessory kits and product kits.Stage parts for production in accordance with schedule.
  
  
• 
  Stock workstations as needed to support continuous production operation
  
  
• 
  Deliver goods to correct area
  
  
• 
  Assemble orders and prepares goods for shipment and record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability
  
  
• 
  Perform inventory control functions including but not limited to cycle counting
  
  
• 
  Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
  
  
• 
  Operates a forklift when needed (if certified)
  
  
• 
  Maintain work area in clear orderly condition
  
  
• 
  Additional duties as defined by lead and supervisor
  
  
• 
  Other duties as assigned Perform all other duties as assigned/ Assist other departments as needed
  
  
  Education Requirements (special training, college degree, etc.)
  
  • 
    
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
    
    Experience
    
    • 
      
    • At least one year in a manufacturing or material handling role
