What's the role? This Closing Analyst will be a member of the Law
Department's Real Estate Investments Team supporting the closing
team in the closing and funding process for commercial mortgage
loans and equity investments, as well as loan servicing and
modification matters. - Principle Accountabilities : Creates
document templates based on a review of the loan application or
other business terms; prepares final, high quality, execution
copies of all documents; and manages execution process, ensuring
all requirements have been met. Drafts and files initial UCC
filings, as well as necessary amendments and continuations of the
same; monitors UCC filing system and troubleshoots issues promptly.
Follows up on post-closing matters, including ensuring all
post-closing documents and tasks are complete and a full, complete
and accurate physical and digital record of the transaction is
maintained. Handles mortgage loan satisfactions and releases,
including drafting and filing applicable documents in an accurate
and timely manner. Handles certain loan servicing and asset
management matters in accordance with established procedures and
training, either alone or with the support of a closing specialist
or attorney, including review of easements, requirements for
release of insurance loss proceeds, loan amendments and
modifications, property condemnations, and other matters. Reviews
title insurance and land surveys, as necessary, and resolves issues
regarding the same with title companies, surveyors and/or
counterparties. Manages timelines toward completion of tasks and
duties; proposes resolutions to issues where appropriate. Other
tasks in support of the closing and servicing of mortgage loans and
real estate equity investments. Bring Your Best! What this role
needs: -
- A bachelor's degree required; or equivalent, demonstrable
experience in commercial real estate transactions. -
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in either, (1) real estate
closings or (2) corporate law transactions.
- Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully and work
independently and effectively during periods of high volume. -
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an analytical
and curious mind, creativity, comfort dealing with ambiguity,
integrity, high ethical standards, and a positive demeanor.
- Service oriented, with demonstrated ability to build rapport
with people inside and outside the organization.
- Highly effective in a team environment, while also
demonstrating ability to work independently in a complex, varied
environment. #LI-Hybrid Compensation Range: Pay Range - Start:
$48,580.00 Pay Range - End: $90,220.00 Northwestern Mutual pays on
a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary
range for this position will be determined by a number of factors
including the skills, education, training, credentials and
experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the
cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At
Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be
hired at or near the top of the range for their role and
compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances
