Position Summary:

This position plays a key role in bringing analytical rigor to the day-to-day management of our channel, sales and operations efforts. The Pricing and Sales Operations Analyst serves as a key member of the IDS (Identification Solutions) North America Team supporting the Pricing Manager by providing insightful, accurate, timely analyses and recommending actions to improve sales and margin realization. Actively participates as a Business Team Member with sales, marketing and operations teams. The analyst will develop working relationships with key areas within the business including sales, customer operations and channel leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pricing



  • Provide analytical rigor for North American sales organization.
  • Proactively identify and drive profitability opportunities through, but not limited to, the following: off-book pricing, return policies, warranty programs, rebates, promotional activities, freight, operational efficiencies, custom product pricing
  • Own process, identify, evaluate and arbitrate necessary deviations from pricing strategy as appropriate based on specific customer, market situations
  • Define, analyze and manage bid policy; develop and implement bid responses in conjunction with marketing, product management and customer service
  • Support annual price increases through Brady's channels
  • Work in conjunction with Lead - NA IDS Pricing on projects as assigned.


    Sales Operations



    • Manage all aspects of Brady North America's commission program including quota development, profitability assessment and execution
    • Manage all incentive programs for the sales organization included but not limited to end of year awards, promotions and spiff opportunities
    • Perform customer or product specific ad-hoc analysis to measure changes in sales, margin, and price
    • Perform assessment of channel, customer and market profitability to ensure appropriate resource allocation
    • Perform other analyses as assigned


      Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university in finance, economics, marketing, mathematics, accounting, business administration or related field from an accredited institution
    • Minimum one year experience in a business environment
    • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communications skills.
    • Experience in cross-functional environments with demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and across processes
    • Proven analytical ability and proactive leadership to recognize areas of improvement and drive improvement initiatives to completion
    • Excellent Excel skills including pivot tables and advanced formulas
    • Must be able to organize a large amount of detailed information and condense this information into useful reports and analysis as input for strategic decision making.
    • Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities, and possess a willingness to assist teammates in reaching overall objectives.
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Indirect influencing skills a must.
    • Must be able to travel approximately 10%.

      Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Prior experience in a data analytics, market research, financial analytics or pricing
    • Experience with Hyperion, SAP, Qlikview or other financial reporting tools
