Pindel Global Precision is looking for individuals who demonstrate passion, drive, a positive attitude, and the aptitude to learn, excel and grow.About the Job Sales Engineer/EstimatorOur organization is looking for a results-driven Sales Engineer/Estimator. As a key member of the Pindel Global Precision sales engineering/estimating team, you are responsible for assisting/leading the development of quotes to customers and, when Pindel is awarded the contract, transitioning the new-part opportunity thru the engineering review and New Part Introduction launch process. This role will report to the Director of Sales. Compensation will be hourly.Requirements:Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Prepare quotations and proposals in response to customer RFQsPerform Technical reviews with customers; Collaborate with customers, engineers, and other staff to understand the parts being developedAnalyze RFQ documents (e.G., custom part prints, specifications, etc.) and perform technical review of customer specificationsWork with Raw material and outside service vendors to obtain quotations; analyze their pricing and proposalsInterpret drawings to determine manufacturing feasibility, gather insights from team, investigate and recommend processing steps and generate quotations.Work with manufacturing to calculate manufacturing run times.Understand and incorporate insight into customer dynamics and willingness to payMeet all RFQ deadlines.As appropriate, discusses solution recommendations with Outside Sales, Engineering, and customer in order to provide best solutions for customer Assist in developing and deepening customer and outside sales force relationshipsCorrespond with customers and representatives on pricing, availability of product, and quotes as directed by managementSupport Sales to perform margin analysis on existing products.Liaison with current customers, potential customers, and Account Reps.Provides project management leadership for new product introductions.Perform other related duties as assignedJob Requirements:U.S. CitizenAbility to attain proficiency in commercial estimating software (Paperless Parts) to process quote requests in a timely mannerAbility to thoroughly inspect client blueprints, samples, and/or specifications to accurately identify part requirements and prepare for quotesStrong technical knowledge and proven experience in a metal machining environmentExemplary research, analytical, and business problem-solving skillsCandidate Experience, Education & Skills (existing or likely to acquire)Experience in a machining environmentStrong communication skills to function effectively with Vendors, co-workers, and customers.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills; Ability to read, write and understand EnglishStrong negotiation skills Ability to calculate figuresAbility to read blue printsAbility to interpret all specificationsAbility to multi task and stay focused on projects; Ability to stay on taskwith minimal supervisionProficiency in MS Word, Excel and OutlookDemonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organizationIn addition, our team thrives in a supportive culture that provides engaged leadership, ongoing recognition for performance results, and a great benefits package.Industry-leading professional development programCareer advancement - ongoing training & mentoring with opportunity to grow your skillsProfessional development opportunities - internal & external (cross-departmental training, PMPA conferences, IMTS-Chicago, local technical colleges/universities, etc..)Performance bonus -potential to receive a discretionary year-end bonus based on performanceCompany events - team lunches, summer picnic event, holiday partyGenerous vacation and holiday allowances (9 paid holidays)Comprehensive health insurance thru health reimbursement arrangementEmployer contribution toward dental insurance and vision insuranceEmployer paid life insurance - $25,000 policy with options for voluntary life401(k) retirement savings plan with 3% safe harbor company contribution and immediate vestingFinancial planning resourcesEmployer subsidized work shoes & safety glasses programEmployee Referral bonus - $1,000
