To continue our growth, we have an excellent opportunity for an Outside Industrial Sales Internship at our brand new corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. The duration of the internship is early to mid-June until the last week of August. Job Description: The Sales Intern supports the sales department and the office as a whole by performing various duties that make the sales, service, and admin teams more productive, while learning our industry and our business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Set appointments for sales staff by following up on leads, tele-prospecting, and similar activities. Performs dock surveys and similar activities under the direction of assigned sales representatives. Assists in making presentations to customers, preparing proposals, and customizing marketing information for sales staff. Conducts research on customers and product information as directed. Assists the service department, serving as fire watch, assisting on PM's, and similar job site duties. Assists in keeping the warehouse area organized, receives orders and prepares items for shipping. Assists the administrative team with reception coverage, filing, and organizing/ordering print sales materials. Other duties as assigned. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Make assigned sales representatives more productive by performing value-added tasks Make Technicians more productive on assigned job sites Maintain warehouse and sales literature areas of the office Effectively learn about Rite-Hite's products and business as well as sales career opportunities Required Experience: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration (marketing, business, sales, communication, etc) Junior Status (heading into senior year) Ability to manage concurrent assignments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. See job description
